[Case Study 6 of Electrode-less Lamp Introduction] Dairy Barn

By using electrodeless lamps for barn lighting, milk production increases! Widely adopted by dairy farmers and factories in the United States!

A professor at Hiroshima University Graduate School (Animal Husbandry Management) has been researching the effects of barn lighting on cows since 2013, focusing on the hormone "cortisol," which is secreted when cows experience stress (often referred to as the "stress hormone" because its secretion increases rapidly when the body is under stress). The "electrode-less lamp" is considered to be close to sunlight among lighting devices and is thought to be a factor that does not cause stress. Additionally, this product has two types of light sources, with the "circle type" serving as a replacement for mercury lamps and capable of wide-area illumination. 【Features of the Electrode-less Lamp】 ■ Circle Type - Compatible with mercury lamps up to 1000W class - Provides wider illumination than the bulb type - Low-frequency type (adopted in the United States) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Pupil lumen

A new standard for lighting evaluation has already been established in Europe and the United States, considering the state of human pupils!

We would like to introduce "PLM: Pupil Lumen." Recent research has shown that the traditional brightness standard "Lux" is not directly related to human visual capability. Instead, a new concept called "Pupil Lumen (Plm)," which takes into account the state of a person's pupil, has begun to emerge as a new standard for lighting evaluation in Europe and the United States. [Overview (Excerpt)] - The diameter of the human pupil varies between 2 to 8 mm, resulting in an area that can change by up to 16 times. - In bright environments, the pupil constricts, reducing the amount of light entering the eye. - Conversely, in areas without strong light, the pupil dilates, allowing more light to enter the eye. As a result, a phenomenon occurs where the environment feels brighter than the Lux measurement indicates. - The calculation method for pupil lumen involves applying a correction factor (S/P Ratio Correction Factor) to each lighting source. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

All products except for the non-electrode (LVD) lamp "Eco Taro" are produced domestically.

Replace mercury lamps nationwide with "Eco Taro" electrodeless lamps! They have a long lifespan of 60,000 hours. PSE and Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications type certification obtained. Assembled and inspected by Japanese workers.

60,000 hours of long lifespan. You will forget about replacing the lamp. The power consumption is about one-third compared to mercury lamps, and instant lighting and instant re-lighting are possible. Compared to LED, the 300 lux of the electrode-less lamp appears brighter than the 500 lux of LED. Why does 300 lux appear brighter than 500 lux? Brightness is expressed in lux, but the perceived brightness by the human eye has a parameter called "pupil lumen," and the brightness multiplied by this parameter is the actual brightness seen by the eye. When using a 40W fluorescent lamp as a reference, the pupil lumen for LED and mercury lamps is 0.8, while for the electrode-less lamp, it is 1.92. In other words, when you multiply the 500 lux of LED by the pupil lumen of 0.8, you get 400 lux, and when you multiply the 300 lux of the electrode-less lamp by the pupil lumen of 1.92, you get 576 lux. Therefore, the perceived brightness is greater for the electrode-less lamp. In cases where a brightness of 500 lux is required at the delivery site, the technical staff of a publicly listed company have accepted this theory for designing a brightness of 300 lux. Since there are no filaments or discharge electrodes, it is resistant to vibration and does not produce defects like LED in press factories.

Principle and Structure of Electrode-less Lamps

Achieving an impressive lifespan of 60,000 hours! A lighting system combined with a dedicated inverter.

We will introduce the principle and structure of our "Electrode-less Lamp." Since it adopts a mechanism based on the principles of electromagnetic induction and discharge light emission, the lamp itself can illuminate semi-permanently without being affected by the lifespan due to electrode wear. By passing high-frequency current through the coil, a magnetic field is generated in the ferrite core, which in turn creates an electric field inside the lamp. Electrons released in this electric field collide with mercury particles, emitting ultraviolet light, which is then converted into visible light by the phosphor coated on the inner wall of the lamp tube. 【Features】 ■ No filament ■ No electrode wear compared to conventional fluorescent lamps ■ Achieves an impressive lifespan of 60,000 hours ■ Lighting system combined with a dedicated inverter ■ Instant lighting and instant re-lighting are easily possible *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Case study of electrode-less lamp installation: Major logistics company, Kanmon Port office in Fukuoka Prefecture.

Replacing the mercury lamps in four buildings! Here is a case study on how we uniformly improved the illumination in each building.

We would like to introduce a case where "Eco Taro" was installed at the Kaneda Port office of a major logistics company in Fukuoka Prefecture. The company replaced mercury lamps in four buildings. Since the brightness levels varied significantly, the illuminance in each building was uniformly improved to 200 lux. After clarifying the standard illuminance, we designed the increase and decrease of lighting distribution through simulation before coordinating with the electrical work. 【Case Overview】 ■ Lighting installation area: Approximately 5203m² ■ Construction details (completed in a 3-day work schedule) - Removal of existing lighting and installation of the non-electrode lamp Eco Taro - Disposal of existing lighting *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
